Protective Stop C207A0: Fieldbus input disconnected.

Application Description:

It occur that the Forum receive questions about the error messages “Protective Stop C207A0: Fieldbus input disconnected” like shown on the picture below.

There can be a genuine reason for this messages if the “Ethernet/IP Field Bus” is actively being used in a robot application. And then the error might be communication issues between the robot and the Fieldbus device (Sometimes a PLC).

However it can also just be that the “Ethernet/IP” has been inadvertently activated without intention to use this protocol for communication.

The “Ethernet/IP” protocol can be toggled On/Off in the menu “Ethernet/IP” under “Installation” tab. Below it is shown activated (because the “Disable” button is available and therefore possible to deactivate it).
